Unfaithful

Prayer is the voice of faith.

Are you expecting someone to be faithful to you? Is there someone faithful nowadays??? It seems that faithfulness is out of people’s vocabulary, this word is getting obsolete. Faithfuls are doomed to extinction; therefore faithful people are endangered species!



“All throughout history, God is the only person who has been faithful to all His promises. Yet, so often we place our trust in the promises of human beings who often fail to keep them. And then, the more perverse reality is that we are willing to trust them again even after they have proven to be unreliable.” (Sigh!)


What is faithfulness? Webster defines it as; being true to one’s word, promises, and vows; steady in allegiance or affection; loyal. Old folks warned us not to associate with people who don’t know how to keep small promises because for sure they don’t know how to keep big promises. So, before you believe someone’s sweet master piece: “I love you infinitely!” Think twice and take note, is he/she knows how to keep simple promises? Is he true to his words? Don’t be deceived he/she might be faithful or faith fool!!!


Faithfulness starts in one’s self. Are you true to yourself? If you do, there would be no pretense on your part, you will show the real you though it some kind of hard thing to do. Before you declare your vow of love to someone you have to analyze your feelings first before you say it. Because being genuinely loved in this world is the most ultimate happiness for a person to experience but if love is not real, it’s tragic!!!


How to save faithful’s endangered species? Start being faithful to yourself. Be true to yourself. Get real!!!


Lord, teach me how to be faithful by being faithful to You first! Before I get angry to people who are untrustworthy please remind me of my own unfaithfulness to You. When promise seems to fail, reminds us we can trust in Your loving kindness.
